Blink 182 started out in the San Diego area in 1993. The original blink 182 (before Travis) included Mark Hoppus ( bass/vocals), Scott Raynor (drums), and Tom Delonge (guitar/ vocals). The three claim that they met at an annual Future Proctologist of America camping trip. The planned to become a band about life, friends, girlfriends, and herpes and diarrhea. Blink 182 started out touring through the US, Japan, Australia, Canada and other countries. The were touring with bands like Pennywise, Rancid, and NOFX. There music was played on Taylor Steele's surf video tourss and blink 182 performed at 96 and 97 Van's Warped Tour. Soon after the group released their first album called Chesire Cat. Then Kung-Fu records picked up the Buddha album which they remastered it and released it to the public. Later MCA Records made a deal and soon set off 97's Dude Ranch but in 1998 the original drummer Scott Raynor left the band and was replaced by Travis Barker. Travis was originally with the Aquabats but soon turned into blink 182's new drummer. In 1999 Enema of the State was released and soon became a hit with there songs What's My Age Again? and All The Small Things. They then decided to release Mark, Tom and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back) in 2000.
